Shubman Gill struck a half century to lead the Gujarat Titans to a tense six-wicket victory over the Punjab Kings in the IPL on Thursday.
Chasing 154 to win, Gill (67) and Wriddhiman Saha (30) got Gujarat off to a strong start, putting on 48 for the first wicket in less than five overs.
From there, the Titans could coast, with David Miller's unbeaten 17 helping see them, with the winning runs coming from the bowling of England's Sam Curran, who took 1-25.
Curran had earlier contributed 22 with the bat in a patchy effort by the Kings, who lost Simran Singh from the second ball of their innings.
Matthew Short top scored with 36, while Mohit Sharma was the pick of the bowlers with 2-18 from his four overs.
The victory takes Gujarat up to third in the table, while Punjab remain sixth.
