Lowrider enthusiast Mike "Cracker" Thiessen of Las Vegas seized the opportunity to create his dream car when he was asked to help broker the sale of a friend's 1961 Chevy Impala convertible. Instead of selling the friend's car, he sold his own 1963 Impala convertible, using the proceeds to purchase the '61 and transform it into a hopper with a 383 Stroker engine, Matrix 2 Stage paint scheme, candy leafing, and stock-style green interior.
The undercarriage was chromed with gold trim, and a 4-pump hydraulic set-up with 18 batteries was installed to help the car reach its owner's goal of being "the cleanest hopper out there."
