The Indianapolis Colts were unable to trade running back Jonathan Taylor before their self-imposed deadline. The reason for this was reportedly because the Colts demanded a "wild" return from the team they were negotiating with. They asked for a package that included wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. This may be surprising since the Colts don't seem to value Taylor enough to offer him a long-term contract extension. Waddle, on the other hand, has been performing well since entering the league in 2021 and is considered one of the NFL's rising stars.
