Triathlon Has a Diversity Problem. Sika Henry Is Working to Change That.

Sika Henry embarked on her first sprint triathlon in 2013, despite not owning a bike. Over the past decade, she has achieved impressive accomplishments in the triathlon world, including podium finishes in IRONMAN 70.3 and participating in the IRONMAN World Championships. In 2021, Henry became the first Black female professional triathlete to earn her Pro Card. She now serves as an ambassador for Race for Change, which aims to support underrepresented individuals who wish to participate in IRONMAN events. Henry emphasizes the importance of swimming skills, accessible swim lessons, and representation in the sport.
