Fitness is a belief deeply ingrained in Men's Health and Women's Health magazines. However, the fitness industry has a major problem with diversity, equity, and inclusion. Numerous barriers, such as financial obstacles, prevent individuals from marginalized communities from pursuing a career in fitness. To address this issue, Men's Health and Women's Health have launched the MH/WH Strength in Diversity Initiative. This program provides trainers from marginalized communities with guidance and support from elite fitness professionals. Trainers will receive mentoring, certification opportunities, and further education on topics like video creation and nutrition. The aim is for these trainers to bring their knowledge back to their communities, promoting enjoyable and effective fitness plans for all. The first round of trainers in this initiative come from diverse backgrounds across the U.K., Canada, and the United States. Together, let's create a more inclusive fitness industry.
