Wrexham, a team preparing for League Two football next season, will participate in a new pre-season competition called The Soccer Tournament in North Carolina this June. The tournament features 32 teams and includes former USMNT forward Clint Dempsey and NBA star Chris Paul as one of the owners.
Former Premier League player Cesc Fabregas will play in the same group as Wrexham. The rules of the tournament differ from normal games, with no draws and the winner being the first to reach a 'target score time'. The prize money is $1 million.
