Everton secured a stunning 5-1 away victory against Brighton & Hove Albion, moving them out of the Premier League relegation zone. Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dwight McNeil both scored braces, while an own goal from Jason Steele completed the rout for Everton. It was a much-needed win for the club, which had been struggling this season.
They impressed with their quality and desire, and looked like a team hoisting themselves above the dreaded dotted line. Though there are still three games to go, it seems inconceivable that they will slip into the Championship with performances like this.
