It was a quiet evening when the unexpected visitor appeared at the doorstep. A small figure, limping and tired, slowly made its way to the front of the house. The last thing anyone expected was that this fragile creature would be back for more than just food. But as it turned out, this was no ordinary stray. This dog was asking for something far deeper — a lifeline.
The first time the dog showed up, it was a simple encounter. An injured stray, with patches of fur missing and a noticeable limp, had wandered onto the property. Its eyes, though dimmed by pain, were full of quiet desperation. “We have to feed him,” they thought. After all, who could resist those pleading eyes? So, out came the leftovers, and with a tentative wag of its tail, the dog ate.
